I love Music Theory. I love the process of breaking down a piece and figuring out all of the musical nuances, the tricks, the techniques, that went into making something sound the way it does. From techniques in arranging and orchestrating to chord progressions and melodic and motivic devices, it all fascinates me.

I mostly arrange for whatever group I'm working with or customizing arrangements for students, but when I get a chance, I do love to compose original works.

I'm an expert in Finale; I've been using it since 1991. I've taught folks how to use it, and I'm very fast at transcribing and editing scores of any configuration.
